Team meeting on Monday, April 5 at the SH at 4:00 pm. Bring your bike and riding gear. Short ride after meeting.
For those racing the weekend of April 10, it's crucial to get your USAC licenses. Remember your licensing is not complete until you send your original signed license waiver (it gets generated when you buy your license) back to USAC via snailmail.

Plan for week of April 4-April 11
Monday: TEAM MEETING and easy one-hour road ride from the SH in Woodstock. This is a chance for the local team members to bring their bike, helmet, shoes, pedals and existing riding clothing to get everything dialed in for the week’s training. Meet at 4 pm, riding by 4:30 or so, pick up at 5:30. Dylan and Ansel, I’ll email you your training plans separately.
Tuesday: introduction to sprinting. We’ll meet at the old Sunrise Mountain parking lot behind the Back Behind Saloon in W. Bridgewater and do a lap around the Plymouth loop riding in a pace line and we’ll finish with 4-5 repeated sprints on the straightaway at the end of Route 100 in front the parking lot. The sprints will be to work on form and will not be done at max speed. Meet at 4 pm. Pick up at 5:30 pm.
Wednesday: WBC club ride: 2 hour (max) road ride from the Start House in Woodstock. Meet at 5 pm, pick up at 7:15 pm.
Thursday: Cornering training in the Killington Grand Hotel parking lot (upper lot closest to Kton access road). Meet at 5 pm, pick-up at 6:30 pm.
Friday: Easy ½ hour ride on your own.
Saturday: Myles Standish RR, Plymouth, MA (see registration link to the right). We’ll be leaving my house in Woodstock (10 High Street, just up from the Start House bike shop) at 5 am sharp in the team van. I can drop all VT team members at home after the race. Follow the directions on bikereg to set up your account and pre-enter the race. For the club/team prompt on bikereg, put Killington Mountain School Cycling Team. Plan to bring snacks and a lunch. I’ll have plenty of drinking water in the van.
Sunday: Yale Criterium, New Haven, CT (see registration link to the right). Leave my house in Woodstock at 9 am sharp in the team van. Will drop VT team members at home after the race. Follow the directions on bikereg to set up your account and pre-enter the race. For the club/team prompt on bikereg, put Killington Mountain School Cycling Team. Plan to bring snacks and a lunch. I’ll have plenty of drinking water in the van. Note: both of these races are very introductory and great for first timers. While you’re encouraged to race both races, it’s fine to choose one of the two. The main thing is I’ll need all team members to confirm with me via email which races you plan to attend and if you can’t attend, that’s fine as well, but let me know.
PLEASE EMAIL COACH VOLLERS to let him know your plans for training and racing. Thanks!
