Thurs, 4/8 update
It's looking like inevitable rain tonight, so let's do this. The clothing kits are due to arrive at my office tomorrow (Friday) at noon. Let's plan to meet at the Start House tomorrow (Fri) at 4:30 pm to try on the clothing, make sure all the bikes are tuned and rolled out to check the gear limits and we'll go for a quick ride as well. Afterwards, I can load all the bikes in the van, so we're ready to go on Sat. morning.
So, no group training tonight, but do try to ride your trainer or sneak out for a ride today if you can.
Here's the plan for Saturday race day:
1) Wear your team jacket and normal clothing to the race and bring your helmet, glasses, jersey, team shorts, racing gloves (mandatory for safety, if you don't have them, the SH has Vollers Law team ones) socks, shoes, two wicking underlayers (one long sleeve and one short sleeve or vest) in your gear bag.
2) Bring a cycling water bottle filled with water or sports drink to drink on the way down to the race. This will be the same bottle you'll race with and I'll have team water and gatorade mix in the van for the race.
3) We won't be stopping for breakfast on the way down, so bring a granola or energy bar to eat on the way down to the race. The race is only about a half-hour long, so you won't need to eat a lot beforehand. Bring some money as we will stop at a subway or the like to get lunch to go on the way home after the race.
4) We're going to try to leave at 5 am sharp from the Start House. I'll have the team van there at 4:45 am ready to go. If anyone is running late, call me on my mobile phone (see contact to the right). The race starts at 9:05 am and we should be leaving the race by 10:30 am at the latest. Those needing rides from Woodstock will call on the way home to let parents know the pick-up time. Estimated ETA is between 2 and 3 pm on Sat. afternoon.
5) Ansel and Dylan, I'll bring your kits down to the race. Try to get there at 8 am or shortly thereafter. Look for the team van.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to email me.
I'll check on everyone's license today. If you haven't sent me your USAC lic. number and password, please do so asap!

updated training plan
Okay, it's looking like inevitable rain tonight, so the sprint training in W. Bridgewater is postponed until tomorrow, Wed, April 7. If, by chance, it's not raining this evening, try to sneak out for a quick hour ride individually if you can.
Tomorrow night, we'll meet at 5 pm (rather than 4; less traffic) at the Sunrise mountain, now Killington Snowmobile Tours, parking lot at the intersection of Route 100 and Rt. 4 in W. Bridgewater. We'll ride one loop and do 4-5 straight line sprints. Pickup will be at 6:30.
Thursday, night, weather permitting, we'll meet at the Killington Grand Hotel parking lot at 5 pm (rather than 4 pm) for cornering practice.
BTW, all parents who ride are welcome to join us on our rides and training. The more the merrier!

Yale race nixed from schedule
With so few on the team interested in the Yale race, we've deleted it from the schedule. This is fine as our turnout for Myles Standish is excellent!
