Congrats all for a great season! You can check out all results from the season here: https://sites.google.com/site/lakesregionmtb/Home/race-results
I know we talked about doing some cross racing, but I'm afraid that Peter and Grace's dryland activities are quickly taking over the scene from here on out. But, just because I can't go doesn't mean that Brook, Alden, Erin and anyone else can't try to make it to the races. Just consult bikereg for New England cross races and you're in business.
But just because we're not racing until spring doesn't mean we won't be riding. As I write this, the ski coaches at KMS are formulating a plan for us to do a spin bike workout once a week, most likely on Monday afternoons.
We'll also be doing some winter dirt road rides on the weekend on cross or mt. bikes with studded tires and then there's the infamous TSR (Team Stupid Ride) on Friday mornings at 8 am that go rain or shine, sleet or snow, week in, week out.
For our cycling purists like Alden, I'll be putting together a winter training plan and I'd be more than happy to work with anyone else who is not involved with other organized winter sports.
If you can do nothing else bike related this winter, try to make the KMS spin workouts at a minimum. It'll be a great way for the team to stay in touch and keep our high-end intensity fitness losses to a minimum. I'll be in touch with more info on this ride soon.
Thanks for a great year and we're really looking forward to strong spring prep school road campaign.
Talk soon,
Coaches Vollers and Hadley
