All those planning on racing the weekend of April 2-3 (Charlestown RI crit and Myles Standish RR), please reply to this email so we can plan accordingly.
Spinning next Monday will be a little later than usual. I won't be able to leave Woodstock until 4 pm, so please get started without me. I'll bring the clothing kits up to the school with me, so please come by if you'd like to pick up your kit.
Next Monday's spinning will be the last one of the winter as we'll be training on the road the week of April 4. I'll send out a training schedule next week.
There will be the usual Wed afternoon road ride from the SH at 4 pm on Wed, March 30.
Thanks!
Peter

March 21 update
First of all, big congrats to KMS CT member, Spencer Smith, and Coach Hadley for their great win at the J4 Future Stars race last weekend!
In other news, we had a fantastic Battenkill preview ride (www.tourofthebattenkill.com)yesterday with Ansel, Stockman, Peter, Jr., Erin Donohue and Tim Dickey. Epic course and we were all totaled after the ride. Can't wait for the real deal on April 10.
Clothing is in! I'll bring the kits up to spinning this afternoon at KMS.
First official team training ride outdoors will be Monday, April 4 at 4:00 pm at the Start House. We'll do a super easy out and back hour ride just to get everyone going. Please plan to show up with bikes ready to go and make sure you have a good helmet (email Stockman for the awesome green team helmet stockman22293@gmail.com) as they're required on all team training rides.
Again, if you have any questions whatsoever about equipment, please contact Team Technical Director, Dan McKenna, at the Start House in Woodstock: 457-3377.
While there are a few returning team members racing the April 2-3 southern RI and MA weekend and Battenkill on April 10, the first real race for the KMS team will be the Hanover Time Trial on Saturday, April 16. A TT is just like a ski race. Individual racers starting at 30 second intervals (or so) on a closed course and the rider with the fastest time wins. This is a great race running right through the Dartmouth campus and it would be great to have as many KMS kids take part as possible. Racers and parents are encouraged to stick around and watch the collegiate criterium race later in the day to see a good example of American-style criterium bike racing. See the team website for our racing schedule after the Dartmouth TT.
****Please send me a quick email if you plan to race the Dartmouth TT as I need to send the promoter our race roster****
Reminders:
1) Get bikes dialed in for 1st team training ride on April 4.
2) Get team helmet from Stockman: stockman22293@gmail.com
3) Get USAC racing license (see team website for link) and don't forget to send the signed release to USAC.
Thanks!
Peter
