Hi all:
As many of you know, I've been invited to attend the Friends of Princeton Cycling Annual Trip, a yearly biking trip organized by a group of enthusiastic Princeton grads against whom I raced in college. This year, they've stepped it up a notch and we'll be going from Nice to Venice and even taking in a Tour stage along the way. I'll be leaving on July 15 and getting home on July 25.
What this means is that you guys are basically on your own for the rest of the month. I'm going to be doing some long rides this weekend if anyone's interested in joining me, so just let me know.
I know that some of our mt. bikers would like to go and race Wyndham this weekend and you're encouraged to do so. Sorry I can't make it, but I don't feel right about being away from home again when I'm doing such a long trip the following week.
All this said, there is some very good racing coming up at the end of the month and in August (http://www.bikereg.com/events/default.asp?p=51&ne=50&et=1&ns=&rg=1&s=&pid=0&states=). I'll post links on the kms page, but some of the races we'll focus on as a team will be:
Aug. 3 and 10 (Wed nights) Beverly and Salem, MA crits. (4 and 4/5 races for you guys).
Aug. 8: Concord, NH crit
Aug 14: Tokeneke RR in CT.
And, of course, we'll be hitting the Green Mountain Stage Race on Labor Day weekend.
Thanks all and have a great July!
Peter
