Saturday road race: Peter, Jr. 3rd in Mens B, Erin 8th in Womens A, Ansel 17th in Mens A, Alden 20th in Mens B. Peter made the winning break, but with a downhill, tailwind sprint, he had little hope in Jr. gearing, but he still podiumed.
Sunday Invid. Time Trial: Peter, Jr. 1st in M-B, Erin 10th in W-A, Ansel 13th in M- A, Alden 17th in M-B
Sunday afternoon criterium: Ansel 2nd in M-A, Erin 3rd in W-A, Peter Jr. mid-pack and Alden finishing just off the back. This was a breakthrough race for everyone, not only because everyone raced so strong, but because everyone raced so smart! From Alden riding strong to finish despite being ill last week, to Peter timing his breakaway attempt almost to perfection (he got caught with a half lap to go), to Erin placing 3rd in a race ending in field sprint (!) to Ansel saving his legs the whole race by committing to a field sprint finish and then executing said field sprint perfectly, it was a coach's dream race.

For this week, check out the training calendar on the team website. On Saturday, we'll be heading down to Cambridge NY to recon the Tour of the Battenkill course. This will be a good base-mileage for our alpine kids as we'll keep it very slow and take lots of stops. Please let me know if you plan to attend.
Thanks!
