Well, I'm pleased to report that Ansel, Peter, Brendan, Erin and Alden are loving life down at the KMS Spring Training Camp in Greenville, SC. They posted pics on FB today riding in shorts and short sleeve jerseys and tomorrow it'll be 80 degrees and sunny!
Also, I've updated the team calendar (see www.kmscyclingteam.com) with just about every race we'll be doing for the entire road season. Pretty incredible schedule, right through to the fall cross season.
You'll notice on the team calendar that we're doing the full Yale and Dartmouth collegiate races, not a separate high school class, but the actual races mixed in with the college racers, the same as any collegiate team. This took a bit of doing with USACycling, but they were great in working with the Eastern Conference promoters to make it so that any registered high school team can do collegiate races just like college students. And these races are awesome, usually consisting of full on indiv time trials, criteriums and road races all in one weekend. Plus, the kids get exposed to the wonderful world of collegiate racing and the colleges themselves. Just a great experience.
We'll be riding mainly on the paved roads for the remainder of March as the dirt roads are going to get very sloppy soon, so please see Dan at the Start House (457-3377) for all of your bike gear.
This will be the last email I'll send to last year's email list, so be sure to re-up with the team by going to the team registration page (see www.kmscyclingteam.com) to keep getting updates as the season approaches.
Thanks and see you all soon!
Peter
