Claremont canceled
Looks like the rain will continue straight through the evening, so we'll bail on Claremont tonight. Everyone should focus on catching up with homework!

Plan for the week
Wow, what a weekend! The Tour of the Dragons is really becoming a classic New England Stage Race replete with leader's jerseys, KOM prizes and sprint leader's jerseys. And, in the Jr. race, KMS took em all! We had Brendan winning the race entirely, not to mention winning the TT and the KOM prize, Ansel winning the crit, the road race and the sprint leader's jersey, Erin placing 2nd in the crit and the road race finishing 5th overall, Peter Jr. 10th overall and we even had brand new cub, Ian Clarke, winning his first race ever in the cub crit!
I had a long telephone conversation with Toby Stanton, Director of the Hot Tubes Junior Development Team, arguably the best junior racing program the US has ever seen and one of the best in the world, and he said he's going to be bringing a full squad to Killington Stage Race, so Dragons was great preparation for our kids. We'll be doubly ready for KSR!
For this week:
Today: cubs/kids ride at 4:45 (NOTE: we're pushing the MONDAY kids ride to 4:45 from 3:45, but Thursday will remain 3:45).
Tues: Claremont Speedway training race. This race is one of the best ways to build your field sprinting speed and skills I've ever seen. We'll be focusing on it each week. All team members should prereg for the season at: https://www.bikereg.com/Net/15910. (choose Jr. $50) There's even a kids' race which is free! Team van will leave my house at 4:30 pm. For this week, it's looking like Claremont will be canceled due to rain. I'll watch the weather tomorrow and make a call via email no later than 3 pm.
Wed: Team training ride at 4 pm. We'll be doing dirt roads on cross bikes, so get your cross bikes tuned up! 2 hours.
Thurs: cubs/kids ride at 3:45.
Friday: 45 min opener ride on your own
Saturday: Sterling Road Race. We'll leave by 7 am and stop for egg sandwiches in Greenfield. Fish tacos on the way home so bring some money!
Sunday: Mother's day: Take your mom to brunch and enjoy the day!
Note for KSR: We'll be doing a team training camp the weekend of May 19-20. Stay tuned for details.
